Auckland NZAMI Seminar Friday, 12th April 2019

Open and Update – June Ranson, Chairperson, NZAMI

The INZ Relationship Managers Role – for this session we will be joined by the Relationship Managers for Visa Services Rob Perry and Sue Choi.  They are responsible for the relationship between INZ and the industry in particular NZAMI. They will be sharing a presentation with NZAMI members which outlines their role, principals of engagement, industry feedback and expectations, initiatives undertaken and an INZ perspective. The NZAMI seminar is an ideal forum to share the presentation to the NZAMI members

When is a Retail Manager a Retail Manager? -This topic rears its head once more, as INZ temporary teams now place these roles under the same or greater scrutiny than for residence.  Simon Moore, LIA, e-Migration, has successfully tackled many a difficult retail management case through the IPT.  He will take us through the ins and outs, with case studies that expose some flawed thinking around what a retail manager should or should not be doing.

Afternoon Tea and Networking

Verification in all its Forms -  A distinguished panel of advisers - Damon Parker, LIA, Swiftvisa, Sharon Sinton (ex-INZ, responsible for conducting interviews), Arunima Dhingra, LIA, Aims Global Immigration and Education Services and Dion Smart, LIA, e-Migration  will be discussing current trends and ways in which advisers/lawyers can approach the verification process. This builds on a session last year by Simon Moore, LIA and ex-police officer.

An Employers Perspective  - Rodney Pomfrett, NZ Delivery Manager, Infosys will share with us his perspectives on engaging with the immigration process, with advisers and the government's proposed changes.

Industry Forum - a chance to discuss matters of generalised interest/concern.
